Welcome to Austria!

Set in the southern Alps overlooking the Mirnock mountain range and the stunning Lake Millstatt (Millstatter-see), Haus Claxton is a modern luxury chalet-style property with three double bedrooms.  The house has been designed to make the most of the breathtaking lake and mountain scenery, with a large patio and all living rooms having superb views.

Situated in the picturesque village of Dobriach, the house is ideally placed to explore the many attractions and activities that Austria's southern-most state, Carinthia, has to offer.  In summer and winter it's the perfect location for couples or groups and families, whether you like an action-packed holiday or something more relaxing.  The close proximity to the lake enables easy access to the wide variety of watersports available, as well as superb walking, hiking and cycling opportunities, right on your doorstep.  When you've had enough exercise there are many cafes and restaurants dotted around the lake, serving delicious meals and drinks.

Locally and further afield there are many mountain roads and ranges to explore, with a wide variety of beautiful scenery, as well as picturesque and historic towns and villages.  If you fancy exploring further afield, the borders of Italy and Slovenia are just 45 minutes drive.

There are many ski resorts in Carinthia that provide superb skiing and other winter sports.  Cable cars run for much of the year, also enabling hiking, climbing and cycling in the mountains from spring through to autumn.
